Bravin Ochido the class eight pupil at Nyamninia Primary school in Siaya county who was assaulted for not scoring 400 marks has every reason to smile after he was transferred to a new school.

In a facebook post shared by Radio Mikayi, Ochido secured the position at the new school after a well wisher who watched the video that since went viral joined hands with friends to contribute for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCPE) candidate.

"A well wisher, Billy Muhongo who read the post on social media has in collaboration with friends paid all fees for Bravin and settled him in the school yesterday. He has been counselled and is now stable in his new school," the post reads in parts.

Siaya boy to sit for KCPE at former school

Despite being transferred to a new school, Ochido will still take his final primary school examinations at his former school.

He wil be escorted to his former school by two teachers everyday until he completes his final paper.

"Bravin, being a KCPE candidate, will sit his his exams in Nyamninia. Two teachers from his new school will escort him to do his exams daily until he finishes exam," the post added.

Ochido's help comes after a video of him being roughed up by two teachers for failing to score 400 marks made rounds on social media.

Social media users were seeting with rage after he narrated his encounter, at the time, the Ministry of Education and Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) George Magoha issued statement condmening the teachers act.

So far, the two teachers identified as Paul Osogo and Maurine Otieno were arrested.
