Mass funeral service for the seven family members who were burnt beyond recognition inside their house at Ngimari in Embu East Subcounty is ongoing.
The funeral has attracted a crowd of mourners and leaders who have come to bid goodbye to the members of the family who died.
The family, which includes the father, mother, their three children, and two grandchildren, are set to be buried in one compound.
Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire, his deputy Kinyua Mugo, Runyenjes member of Parliament Eric Muchangi, Embu Senator Alexander Mundigi and several Members of Embu county assembly are among the leaders attending the funeral.
