There was a light moment in Kirinyaga County on Saturday, October 15, 2022, after a man interrupted President William Ruto's address during the commissioning of the Thiba dam in Kirinyaga County.

The head of state was forced to pause his speech after the unidentified man shifted the crowd's attention after he repeatedly claimed that he was in possession of the COVID-19 vaccine.

“Mr President, I have a COVID-19 vaccine, I have a COVID vaccine,” he stated amid laughter from the crowd.

Amidst the laughter from the crowd, Ruto who also joined the crowd in a peal of long laughter jokingly stated that he will confirm if the man's claims were true.

"Msijali huyu jamaa anasema ako na ujuzi wa COVID vaccine, si mbaya, tutaongea na yeye tujue kama ako na hiyo ujuzi tumsaidie aendelee mbele"the head of state said.
