Kiambaa MP-elect John Wanjiku narrates how he was abducted, dumped in Burnt Forest for organizing DP Ruto's Kiambu event.

John Njuguna Wanjiku, who won the just concluded Kiambaa by-election on Monday night, July 19 sparked reactions after claiming that he was abducted for organising a Deputy President William Ruto event in Banana, Kiambu County.

Speaking during an interview with a local TV station, the MP-elect alleged that he was kidnapped and dumped naked in a forest in Burnt Forest, Uasin Gishu County.

Wanjiku further claimed that he was arrested by police officers in Ruaka, driven around and eventually dumped in Burnt Forest in a bid to scare him from inviting DP Ruto to the Kiambu event.

"Mwaka huu wakati tulikuwa tunaleta Naibu wa Rais kule kwetu Banana. Mbunge mwenye tulikuwa na yeye alikuwa amekasirishwa sana maana alikuwa chairman wa national security na alikuwa karibu sana katika meza ya Jubilee pale juu, aliposkia Naibu wa Rais anakuja Banana, hilo jambo lilimtia hofu ( This year when we were organising an event for our Deputy President in Banana, an MP who was in my company was disappointed and because he was the chairman of national security, the visit scared him)," said Wanjiku.

Adding; "Kwa kuwa nilikuwa nimeongoza kumleta naibu wa rais, nlishikwa na polisi pale Ruaka wakaniabduct, wakanizungusha wakaenda wakanitupa msitu Burnt Forest. Wakanivua nguo, wakabeba laptops, wakabeba kila kitu, wakanifunga kwa msitu wakaniacha. Kwa mapenzi ya Mungu nilijifungua. Walikuwa wanataka kunitia hofu nisilete naibu wa rais (Since I was the one organising the event, I was arrested by police officers in Ruaka, they drove me around and dumped me in a forest in Burnt Forest. They stripped me nakes, took my valuables and tied me. Fortunately, I managed to untie myself. They wanted to stop me from inviting the Deputy President)."

After successfully untying himself, Wanjiku claimed he walked around the forest until he bumped into a group of mechanics who came to his rescue.

The MP-elect further confirmed the claims through his Facebook page where he shared a photo addressing the press in dirty and oversize clothes.
