Socialite turned businesswoman Vera Mungasia, alias Vera Sidika has disclosed that she last took alcohol in March 2020.
Through her social media pages, the socialite who is currently pregnant with her first baby stated that she is only a social drinker and that she only takes alcohol when out clubbing.
With the COVID-19 pandemic and its strict preventive measures including closure of entertainment joints, it was impossible for Vera to taste alcohol.

"The last time I had alcohol was March 2020, yup! I wasn't much of a drinker though. I'm a social drinker, only when clubbing. So since corona last year I hadn't clubbed, therefore, no alcohol," she wrote in part.
Vera also disclosed that her husband, musician Brown Mauzo, does not take alcohol and after getting into a relationship with him, he made it easier for her to stop drinking.
"The came my hubby in August, God sent me a man that's never tasted alcohol in his entire life! Which made it even easier to forget," she said.
Adding; "It's been 1 and half years now. I stopped drinking way before I even got pregnant. Honestly, I'm so proud of myself because our baby will come into a family free from alcohol. Sober Mum and Dad. God is good."
The socialite unveiled her pregnancy in June by posting a video on Instagram showing her baby bump.
"We are pregnant and we couldn’t be more excited! We decided it was time to add an entertainer to our lil family! We’ve for some time, to share our lovely news. We are so excited for this bundle of joy to come into our lives and to experience a love far beyond all measures. We are thankful that the Lord chose us to be this baby’s parents," she wrote at the time.
