The swearing-in of Kiambu deputy governor, James Nyoro, as governor scheduled for Friday, January 31, will continue as planned, High Court judge Weldon Korir said Friday morning, quashing impeached governor Ferdinand Waititu’s application to stop the process.

Korir, in his verdict, said he could not stop a Judicial process that is being undertaken by a competent judge of the High Court.

The judge directed Waititu to file for inter partes hearing on Monday, February 3.

Justice John Onyiego will preside over James Nyoro’s swearing-in at the Kiambu County Headquarters.
