The student who on Tuesday morning stabbed two teachers in Kisii School has revealed that unhappiness contributed to his criminal lashing out at teachers.

The 17-year-old teenage, who hails from the Coast, told authorities that he was unhappy at the school, and wanting a change, had in vain requested his mother to take him to another school.

When asked what he would take for supper at the police station, the student asked the officers to serve him with ugali-kuku without even blinking an eye.

The student found himself on the wrong side of the law after he differed with a teacher, Edwin Nyakundi, who had demanded an explanation for turning for morning prep late. .

“He then went back to the dormitories armed himself with a kitchen knife and attacked him,” a police report filed at Kisii Central police station read in part.

As Nyakundi was being attacked by the student another teacher, Elvis Maoto, intervened to protect his colleague and was also stabbed.

Nyakundi sustained injuries on the left shoulder, left side of the abdomen, head and left leg. He is currently admitted at Ram Hospital.

The other teacher, Maoto, sustained injuries in the cheek. He was treated at the same hospital and discharged.
