His death came as a shocker and just days after he remarried in a colourful wedding ceremony which took place in Kwale County on August 28.

It is said that immediately after the wedding, the police boss fell sick and was rushed to a private facility within Kinango where he tested positive for malaria before being referred to Diani Beach Hospital.

“When his condition deteriorated, he was taken to Diani Beach Hospital where he tested positive for Covid-19. He was then transferred to the Coast General Hospital and put on the Intensive Care Unit (ICU),” Mwero told K24 Digital.
