After visiting Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria last night, Deputy President William Ruto is back in the country.

Today, Ruto went on a charm offensive to Taita Taveta County in efforts to bag more votes in the region that is perceived to be ODM leader Raila Odinga's zone.

In the company of ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula, Ruto met grassroots leaders where he continued to spread his Uchumi Kwanza vision for Kenya.

"Our journey to uplift ordinary Kenyans continues," the DP posted on his official Facebook account after the Taita Taveta rally.

Ruto has been out of the country for several days and is reported to have been at Dubai on a mission that is still unspecified.

His abrupt disappearance from the public had elicited mixed reactions among netizens some of who claimed he was on a resting tour after a numerous campaign period while others had suspected he was in Dubai for business.
