Karen DCI officer Anne Wanjiru Waiganjo has died after she collapsed at a restaurant in Upper Hill where she was attending a colleague's farewell bash.
According to a report seen by K24 Digital, the DCI boss is said to have collapsed at around 5 pm on Saturday, July 3.
"Today 3rd July 2021 at around 1739hrs duty officer Capitol Hill received a report from SCCIO Langata, Mr Abdirashid Yakub, that one No.235389 CI (w) Ann Wanjiru Waiganjo the Officer in charge DCI Karen suddenly collapsed while at Baita Restaurant within Upper Hill.," the report read in part.

Waiganjo who was attending the farewell party of a senior police officer, SSP Henry M. Kiambata was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
"She was rushed to Nairobi Hospital and pronounced dead upon arrival," the police report read.
The body of the deceased is lying at the same facility awaiting to be transferred to Kenyatta University Mortuary.
