For the first time since the crisis began there in December the country has reported no new domestically transmitted coronavirus cases.

All new coronavirus cases confirmed on Wednesday, 34 in all, and most of China's recent cases have been people who came in from other countries - classified as imported cases.

Iran, Italy and Spain topped the list of countries that imported the most coronavirus cases to the Chinese mainland with 47, 41 and 28 cases respectively.

Twenty-five other cases also came from the United Kingdom.
