Singer and influencer Nimo Gachuiri has called out her husband -gospel artiste Mr Seed over his recent comment on polygamy.

Speaking in a podcast, the singer opined that all men are naturally polygamous and sometimes no matter how long it takes, men are wise enough to leave a relationship if their partners fail to meet their desired qualities.

In her response, Nimo questioned the singer's intentions noting that it is unfortunate for someone in a committed relationship to make such insensitive remarks.

She noted that she confronted her husband but according to him, netizens just picked a specific segment to spur their narrative.

"So I saw the snippet of the podcast done by Mr Seed saying whatever he was saying. I didn't even finish watching it, I was pissed off. So I turned to him and asked hizi ni nini sasa unasema surely? The next thing I said was people must really think I'm stupid. So he was like you should watch the whole podcast ati they picked only that part so that it could trend," the mother of two narrated.

Adding; "What I want to say is whether it was for clout, it was an insensitive thing to say when you are clearly in a committed relationship."

Polygamy is among the hotly debated topics about modern marriages and in most cases, women are continually dragged in the clichéd justifications.

In a previous statement on the same singer Kevin Mbuvi Kioko alias Bahati opined that marrying one wife will prevent many from going to heaven.

Bahati questioned pastors who advocated for men to have only one wife and demanded to know where the Bible limits polygamy.

"Mbona mapastor wa saa hii wanatuambia tuwe na bibi mmoja?" Bahati questioned.

Loosely translated, "Why do pastors nowadays tell us to have only one wife."

"Hawa mapastor wanafaa watuonyeshe wapi kwa bible mungu alisema lazima ukue na bibi mmoja," he said.

Loosely translated, "These pastors should show us in the Bible where God said we must have only one wife."

Bahati went on to express his view that the insistence on monogamy might lead to some men not going to heaven.

He compared the situation to biblical figures like David and Solomon, who were known to have multiple wives.

"Mimi naona, kitu itafanya wanaume wasiende mbinguni ni iyo kuchukua bibi mmoja, mungu atakuuliza mbona mimi nikaruhusu David na Solomon kua na mabibi kadhaa lakini wewe ukakua na mmoja?" Bahati stated.

Loosely translated, "I feel like something that might prevent men from going to heaven is choosing to have only one wife. God will ask why I allowed David and Solomon to have multiple wives, but you chose to have just one."
