Tanzanian actress and singer Mimi Mars has addressed a viral video where she was filmed swimming with Bongo star Diamond Platnumz.
Speaking in an interview with Millard Ayo, the beau denied being romantically tied to Diamond following the video.
Mimi said she happened to share a swimming pool with the WCB boss since they were working on a joint project.

Diamond and Mimi Mars enjoy a swim
In September 2020, Diamond sparked reactions across social media after sharing a video enjoying a swim with Mimi who appears to be Vanessa Mdee’s sister.
The video on the singer’s Instagram stories showed Mimi who wore a black swimsuit in a swimming competition with a man who was in their company.
The video the shows Diamond sipping a drink before swimming towards Mimi’s direction.
“Tell me who’s the winner,” the singer captioned the video filmed at 09:08 am.
Diamond professes love for Mimi Mars
Interestingly, the video came days after Diamond lusted over the top-rated actress on social media.
The bongo stat confirmed his interest in Mimi by sharing a short video her jamming to his song Cheche in which he has collaborated with Zuchu.
He admitted that he has always loved the pretty girl and went ahead to question himself why he has never dated her.
“I have always loved this girl. I really do not know where I the son of Mama Dangote go wrong in timing," wrote Diamond.
Marioo reacts
Singer Marioo who was dating Mimi at the time said he was hurt when the video of his lover and Diamond went viral online.
In a Q & A session with his fans on Instagram, the Mi Amor hit maker addressed the video terming it his most hurting moment.
“Yapo mengi ila nilivyoonanga ile clip video ya rafiki yangu wa kike anaogelea kwenye pool la bro ilinigusa nayo ile,” Marioo said in reference to the video.
Marioo, later, in an interview with a local publication clarified that he had no problem with the WCB boss dating his ex-lover.
“About Mimi Mars, I am very okay and actually I have no issue with Diamond, we are at peace because he is my elder brother. Because I respect him, he can take any woman he wants even the ones I am dating. I can never hate him because he deserves the best and all I can say is that I will always thank him,” he said.
Days later, Mimi shallowly spoke about the video insisting that her and Diamond were just good friends.
"Those with eyes have seen and those with ears have heard. Those people who know me, understand what is happening. Me being with Diamond is something that cannot happen," she said.
