Azimio la Umoja - One Kenya flagbearer Raila Odinga’s palatial mansion in Kisumu has been the subject of repeated interest since 2014 when it was revealed that the former Prime Minister was constructing a huge house in the lakeside city.
The lavish mansion, which is nestled in the Kanyakwar region, Riat Hills, was termed as Raila's 'State House' after he failed to win the 2013 presidential election.
Photos of Raila’s beautiful home in Kisumu were first leaked in 2014 when the building was still under construction.

1. Media reports indicate Raila's mansion is worth a staggering Ksh1.2 billion, yet this figure has never been proved by any credible source.
2. Unconfirmed reports also indicate that Raila's mansion has a total of 74 rooms, comprising 10 bedrooms, four expansive kitchens, two main conference rooms, two small conference rooms and space for offices. No credible source has ever verified this information. The blueprint has also not been made public to ascertain the claim.
3. It has also been claimed that the construction of Raila’s mega-mansion was awarded to a foreign contractor who later sourced for local contractors. The said contractors have never been revealed.
4. It has also been reported that Raila's mansion sits on a six-acre parcel of land in Riat, this has also not been independently verified.
5. It’s also been reported that Raila’s mansion has Olympic size swimming pool and several Jacuzzis. This claim has also not been verified.
