Former radio host Kamene Goro is shedding some light on marriage.
In an interactive session with her fans on Instagram, Kamene noted that despite the many manuals to get ready for a union, there is nothing that can prepare one for it.
"How is marriage life, my big sister?" a fan asked. Kamene responded noting for her it has been a learning process.
"It's a learning experience, nothing can prepare you for it. You take it a day at a time and you learn the lessons that are supposed to be learnt," she stated.
While responding to another fan who asked her about the biggest lessons about marriage, Kamene Goro said; "The biggest take home is to get married to someone whom you can be friends with. Love can die out a lot of time or even eventually. It's the companionship that matters. Some situations will require more than just love. You will require someone to be there for you. Marry your friend.

Kamene Goro married her fiancé DJ Bonez in a colourful wedding in April 2023.
The 31-year-old held an intimate ceremony with family and friends in attendance to witness her saying 'I do'.
Kamene Goro adorned a rose gold strapless gown with the DJ wearing a pink blazer, black trousers, and a pair of white sneakers.
The news of their union was shared by her former radio co-host and Lang’ata Member of Parliament Felix Odiwour.
"Congratulations my sister @kamenegoro and @deejaybonez254 on your wedding day! Love you, guys,” the MP wrote.
Kamene Goro and DJ Bonez got engaged in Diani in 2022, which she says was two years into their dating although they had been close friends for a couple of years.
“We became official two years ago. We knew each other six or seven years ago. We weren’t talking. We did not like each other at all. We started with beef! It was a mad beef. He used to say I am a ratchet,” she said.
