Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) boss Ezekiel Mutua and gengetone artiste Sylvia Ssaru have seemingly hugged out their beef.
The reconciliation took place at an MCSK event where the society distributed Ksh20 million in royalties to 16,000 musicians.
What stood out at the event was the hug between Mutua and the 'Kaskie Vibaya' hitmaker followed by heaps of praise for the gengetone sensation.

Speaking to SPM Buzz, the MCSK boss said Ssaru was an amazing, talented and gifted artiste.
He also claimed that Ssaru was a good friend of his despite meeting her for the first time.
Mutua clarified his previous statements noting that his criticism was not directed at Ssaru personally but rather aimed at the context of music genres that prove lucrative.
He stressed the importance of producing music that caters to a broader audience, including families.
"If you sing a song that you can't play with your mother, you can't play it in your car or office, you're cutting yourself off from the market, it's that simple," he declared
"But that does not mean she is stupid or not talented. Ssaru is an amazing, talented and gifted musician; she is also a very good friend of mine. I am the one who invited her here; we have paid her a lot of money. She is among the top earners together with Mali Safi Chito, they were competing and it's not less than Ksh100,000," Mutua asserted.
Mutua had previously expressed reservations about Ssaru's hit song 'Kaskie Vibaya,' describing it as vulgar and unsuitable for family consumption.

Ezekiel Mutua and Ssaru's differences stemmed from the hit collabo 'Kaskie Vibaya' featuring Fathermoh.
In June 2023, Mutua called out musicians for creating songs that lack morals in the name of likes and follows using Ssaru as an example.
'Did you hear this song about a lady singing about her ex-boyfriend 'Niko na pesa na ni ya babako, What are you telling my daughter?" he wondered.
While he did not say secular artists should not sing such, he advised that their songs should have a message that doesn't promote hate or prey on the morals of the society.
"I don't mean that secular artists should not sing that but those are not the kind of things we want to promote as a way of life. Do not promote hate. Be the light and the peace of mind needed in the world. Rather than get likes that do not translate to wealth. Let us have an introspection," he advised.
In response to moral cop, Ssaru simply said; "Kaskie vibaya na huko."
'Kaskie Vibaya'
The song gives an account of a lady who left her boyfriend and ended up getting involved with his father. The lady goes further to explain that the dad finances her and even gives her his (son's) school fees.
