Lawrence Njuguna Wagura, popularly known as DJ Fatxo, has explained the circumstances that led to suspicions that Jeff Mwathi was sexually molested in his house before he died.

Mwathi died on February 22, 2023, after allegedly falling from DJ Fatxo's house.

Speaking during an interview with Obinna, DJ Fatxo addressed claims that Mwathi was sexually assaulted in his house because he was found with his trousers pulled down when he fell off the 10th-floor apartment block.

Fatxo noted that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives themselves told him the probable circumstance that caused Mwathi's trousers to be pulled down.

The Mugithi singer said DCI sleuths concluded that Mwathi's pants pulled down was either a result of the grills where he allegedly squeezed himself or the velocity as he went down from the 10th floor, as his clothes acted as a parachute.

"Mimi si DCI so ata mimi nilikua nataka kujua kama nyinyi ju trouser yake iko chini. Theory niliskia imepeanwa, ju that's the job of the investigators, I am not an investigator, so ata mimi lazima ningeulizia hapa kulienda aje. Na naambiwa 'we suspect that Jeff went out na kichwa so the last part ya kuguzana na hizo grills za dirisha ni trouser.

"Jeff hakua na belt, as per hao wakisema ju si mimi mwenye nilisema. Then the other thing they said was kuna kitu inaitwa velosity. Kutoka 10th floor kuteremka kuenda chini ujue wewe ni kama parachute so anything yenye uko nayo ndo inakusaidia ile force ndo ifanye nini… I don't know much about but all I can say kenye walisema ni hio," DJ Fatxo said.

The Mugithi singer further added that police collected samples from the key suspects, his cousin, driver and himself, for forensic analysis to determine if Mwathi was indeed sexually assaulted.

"Na kulifanywa swaps. Swaps zilichukuliwa kwake, sisi wote tulitestiwa hizo vitu ile ionekane kama kuna mtu yoyote mwenye aliwai lala na huyu kijana. My question is who could have done that? Nyumba iko na wanawake. Vitu zingine ni narrative zinaletwa na watu," DJ Fatxo said.

"Are you gay?" Obinna asked DJ Fatxo.

"Look at me, do I look like a gay? I am not gay," Fatxo replied.

Asked to respond to allegations that he has been devouring men's bums, Fatxo challenged his accusers to mention even one dude that he has seduced.

"I would want them to even point out one person mwenye nishawai katia. Mimi si shoga. Mi si gay na siwezi kuwa gay," Fatxo said.

DCI report

Investigators exhumed Jeff Mwathi's body on March 31, 2023, in a bid to establish if he was sexually molested before he met his death.

However, after the forensic investigations, the tests returned negative concluding that Mwathi was not sexually molested.

DCI in April 2023 forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP)’s office for action the file on the investigations into Jeff Mwathi’s death.

According to the DCI report, Mwathi’s death still remains inconclusive with possible suicide suggested as the strongest explanation for how he met his death.

DPP acting on the DCI’s file failed to charge DJ Fatxo and ordered an inquest into Jeff Mwathi's death.
