Outlawed gang in Mlolongo

In August, police in Mlolongo arrested 17 members of an outlawed gang at Gathangaita estate within Mlolongo Township.

The 17, all male, are members of an outlawed group, Gaza, which has wreaked havoc in Mlolongo by terrorizing the residents.

According to reports, the gang was arrested while hatching a plan to allocate themselves market stalls along the Madharau area in Mlolongo.

Athi River East sub-county police commander Anderson Mbae said the police would prefer charges of drunk and disorderly against the suspects.

“For the financiers and sympathizers of these outlawed gang groups, we are keenly monitoring them,” Mbae told a local publication.
