Three more suspects linked to the killings of three ladies and injured four in Ruiru have been arrested.

This comes days after the prime suspect, Paul Magara, a suspected serial killer and rapist in Ruiru, was arrested.

Magara had earlier been arrested for the murder of three women since last year, in separate incidents that shocked and instilled fear on residents in the neighbourhood and across the city.

"Further investigations into the spate of murders of two women and one injured in Ruiru where the prime suspect Paul Magara was earlier arrested and arraigned, three more suspects linked to the killings have been arrested," DCI said.

According to DCI the three, Jeremiah Ongati Makambo, 30, Silas Kipyegon, 24 and 35-yr-old Daniel Gatunguta were arrested by Ruiru-based detectives in a forensic-led operation initiated on Sunday within Wataalam area.

Police link the three to the brutal murder of the late Lovince Njoki, who was hacked to death in Wataalam on August 23, 2021 by unknown assailants, who also disappeared with her valuables including her phone.

“The nabbed trio has since used the handset interchangeably, until the detectives pounced on them and recovered the exhibit,” DCI said.

The police also stated that the 18-yr-old victim who had been admitted at the Kenyatta National Hospital's Intensive Care Unit after being attacked by the dreaded Magara alongside her 19-yr-old sister had succumbed to the injuries.

The deceased are said to have been attacked by the dreaded Magara alongside her 19-year-old sister.

"The late Ann Mumbi and Winfred Kalumi were attacked in their sleep by the lone agent of death, who mastered access to their house before committing the monstrous act, leaving the two for dead," DCI said.
