Embattled lawyer Miguna Miguna has dismissed claims by Ugandan activist Stella Nyanzi to sneak to the country through the Uganda-Kenya border.

According to Miguna the Red Alerts do not allow airlines from flying him to any African country.

“Those asking me to fly to Uganda then cross the border "unlawfully" into Kenya must understand that the Red Alerts stop airlines from flying me to any African country," Miguna said.

The Canadian based lawyer further urged his followers to desist from such thoughts, since acting unlawfully by gaining access to the country would lead to him being branded a terrorist by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“Acting unlawfully would give President Uhuru Kenyatta an excuse to justify his criminality and to brand me a terrorist,” Miguna tweeted.

The controversial Nyanzi had offered to help the embattled Kenyan lawyer reach Kenya through Uganda.

Nyanzi’s help comes at a time when Miguna is facing difficulties entering Kenya after the Kenya government issued a directive ordering various airlines to bar him from bordering planes coming to Kenya.

Miguna revealed that the airline he was set to use to fly from Berlin Brandenburg to Nairobi had informed him that the government had denied them permission to allow him aboard their plane to Nairobi.

“This is to inform Kenyans and the world that @airfrance officials at the check-in counter at the Berlin Brandenburg Aiport have just informed me that the Government of Kenya sent them a “red alert” this morning that cannot allow me to Nairobi,” Miguna said.

Reacting to the news, Nyanzi said that she was shocked by the unfolding, noting that Miguna’s dual citizenship should not be used to violate his rights.

She had earlier asked Miguna to pass through Uganda so that Ugandans can smuggle him into Kenya through Kenya-Uganda porous borders.

Nyanzi further said that Ugandan’s are ready to do anything possible to hide Miguna’s identity, just see him enter Kenya through the Busia borders.

"The good doctor should reroute to Uganda, which is just next door to Kenya. We shall receive him well, take him to makeup artists who will chop off his beard and make his face brown with Copper Girl, plait his hair with Brazilian extensions, get him a big black lace power-bra stuffed with cotton, lend him a kitenge three-piece dress, and then smuggle him into Kenya on a bodaboda motorbike," Nyanzi said.

Miguna was yesterday blocked from boarding a Nairobi bound Air France plane.

The outspoken lawyer was stuck in Berlin despite booking a plane ticket to Nairobi a fortnight ago on October 29, 2021.

In a statement posted on his social media pages, the lawyer blamed his woes on President Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader, Raila Odinga.

“To Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga; I will never surrender. I will keep speaking the truth forever. Just checked into a hotel in Berlin. The struggle for social justice will continue. Viva!” Miguna tweeted.
