KCSE candidate dies on night before exam

A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidate from Kiminini in Trans Nzoia County died on Thursday, March 25 shortly after falling ill.

Nicholas Barasa, a student of Michael Wamalwa High School in Birunda, Kitale, developed stomach problems in the evening, and died while being taken to hospital.

The 19-year-old student’s body was taken to Kiminini Cottage Mission Hospital morgue.

Barasa died on KCSE exam eve.

At least 750,000 candidates will write this year’s KCSE exam.
