Interior PS: Ruto nominates Raymond Omollo to replace Kibicho

President William Ruto has appointed Dr. Raymond Omollo to replace outgoing Interior Principal Secretary (PS) Karanja Kibicho.

Omollo, who was appointed alongside 50 other PSs by the President on Wednesday, November 2, has been serving as Lake Basin Development Authority Managing Director.

He is serving his second term at the helm of the authority.

Omollo hails from Kadel in Rachuonyo, Homabay County.

Homa Bay residents thanked the President for nominating one of their own to the powerful interior docket.

The residents led by Peter Owino were overjoyed with the appointment which they termed as a good reward to the Luo community and more so to the President's loyal supporters in the Nyanza region.

Ruto's supporter

Omollo has been one of the ardent supporters of Ruto for over 15 years.

Omollo thanked the President for his nomination.

"Like it would happen to anyone, I am happy and I thank God and the President for the nomination," Omollo said.

He vowed to serve Kenyans with utmost faith, respect, and humility if approved by the National Assembly vetting committee.
