Gladys Wanga of ODM has been elected Homa Bay governor after securing big win over her closest rival former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero who vied as an independent candidate.
Wanga was declared the winner by Homa Bay county Returning Officer at around 3 am on Thursday morning August 12, 2022.
She floored Kidero by 90,377 votes having garnered 244,599 votes against her closest competitor who managed 154,182 votes.
