Ex-IEBC boss Ezra Chiloba lands new government job

Ezra Chiloba, who is the former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Chief Executive Officer, has landed a new job.

In a Gazette Notice dated Thursday, December 31, 2020, Chiloba was appointed to the board of Youth Enterprise Development Fund by Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru.

He will serve on the board for a period of three years, beginning on December 22, 2020.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 5(2) of the Youth Enterprise Development Fund order 2007, the Cabinet Secretary for ICT Innovation and Youth Affairs appoints to be a member of the Youth Enterprise Development Fund Board, for a period of three years,” the notice read in part.

The Youth Enterprise Development Fund is a state organ which was gazetted on December 8, 2006.

The organ is key in ensuring that youth get key roles in nation-building.

It also creates job opportunities for youth under the age of 35.
