Controversial Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi is set to face three charges at Nakuru Law Courts.

Sudi will be charged with offensive conduct and two charges for hate speech.

One of his lawyers, Isaac Terer, who is a former Uasin Gishu County Assembly Speaker, said that the Kapseret MP did not record any statement as the National Cohesion and Integration Commission had already drawn up the charges.

"He arrived at 7 pm[Sunday] yesterday with the charges already prepared," Terer said.

The advocate said that they are waiting for the completion of the registration of charges before they can enter into a virtual session from Nakuru Central Police Station.

On Sunday, September 13, a battery of lawyers led by Uasin Gishu County Woman Representative Gladys Shollei hit out at the police, accusing them of being used for political persecution.

Her sentiments echoed by Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, Nakuru County Woman Representative Liza Chelule, and Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri among others.
