In a world where people are creating opportunities from the least expected avenues, Chinese online marketplace Taobao is now offering people the chance to hire a “professional quarreler” to argue on their behalf.
Non-conffontational folks can now subscribe to the ‘quarrelling by proxy’ service, which gives people the chance to hire strangers to argue or simply harass someone on their behalf, for a small fee.
One professional quarrelling ad on Taobao states that an angry phone call or text message costs Sh300, a whole day of spam calls costs 40 yuan (Sh600), and bombarding your target’s phone with “hate calls” costs 100 yuan (Sh1,500).
