The 'outcry' was fake, they love Sauti Sol across +254.

This has been confirmed after Ksh20,000 worth of VIP tickets to their long-awaited SOL Fest sold out.

The Afropop sensation band made up of singers; Bien-Aime Baraza, Willis Chimano, Polycarp Otieno and Savara Mudigi, however, says the other tickets- Fan show tickets- are still available for sale.

"VIP Tickets SOLD OUT! 🌟 Huge thanks to all our VIPs for grabbing those exclusive passes. But don't fret, our FAN SHOW tickets are still up for grabs, but they're vanishing faster than a Kenyan sunset! ⏳🌅 Hurry and secure your spot through the link in the bio before it's too late! #Solfest2023  #SautiSolLastDance," the boy-band group announced.

Tickets for the Sol Fest scheduled for November 2 and 4, 2023, went on sale in July, as hundreds of fans patiently waited to make their purchase.

Demand for tickets was exceptionally high following the announcement on May 20, 2023, that Sauti Sol was taking an indefinite hiatus from working as a group.

Sauti Sol is offering fans one last chance to do right by them since the previous festival spurred backlash across social media with netizens terming it a flop.

Last SOL Fest

The event which took place on Saturday, December 17, 2022, got fans trolling the band and demanded an apology.

Frustrated fans called out the boy band asking for accountability over what they termed a disappointing performance.

Among the concerns, fans claimed the singers showed up on stage late at night and didn't meet their expectations.

SOL Fest management later released a statement and acknowledged poor planning which ultimately led to long delays and promised to plan better in future.

They argued that the festival was created to offer a platform to not only Sauti Sol and SOL generation artistes but even other talented African musicians.

"Our intention was to put on a spectacular event ensuring each artist and musician received enough time to deliver their very best performances to all fans. We also put more focus on the local talent who were performing and our international guests.

"We acknowledge this may have led to some unfortunate delays in keeping the show running in a timely fashion and would like to reassure all our fans and supporters that we will plan better for this in the future," part of their statement read.
