Snoop Dogg's daughter Cori Broadus has suffered a "severe stroke" at the age of 24.

Posting on Instagram on Thursday, the singer who performs under the name CHOC, shared a photo of what appeared to be herself lying in a hospital bed and wrote: "I had a severe stroke this am (sic).

"I started breaking down crying when they told me."

In a follow-up story post, with text covering her face, she wrote: "Like I'm only 24.

"What did I do in my past to deserve all of this."

Stroke is described by the NHS as a "serious life-threatening medical condition" that occurs when the blood supply to part of the brain is cut off.

The main symptoms of the condition can affect the face, arms and a person's speech.

Broadus, who has more than 650,000 followers on Instagram, is also the chief executive of makeup brand Choc Factory Co.

She is one of three children the US rapper father, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, shares with his wife Shante.

The couple also have two sons, 29-year-old Corde and 26-year-old Cordell.
