Several musicians have taken to social media to make jokes about the money paid to them as royalties by the Music Copyright Society Of Kenya (MCSK).

Sauti Sol lead singer Bien was the first to post his M-Pesa statement which shows that he was paid Ksh14,634 by MCSK.

Bien wondered what 'upcoming' musicians like Khaligraph Jones were paid if he could be paid a meagre Ksh14,634.

"Let the weekend begin. Iโ€™M RICH B*TCH!!!!! Where the h*es at. We balling out of control this weekend. Your number 1 artist has been paid royalties. I can only imagine what upcoming artists like @khaligraph_jones are getting. DM with todayโ€™s plan." Bien wrote.

Khaligraph dismissed Bien for belittling him.

"We ni fala sana, ata haukuwa na kitu kwa mpesa kabla wakutumie iyo," Khaligraph replied to Bien.

Commenting on Bien's post, Nyashinski indicated that MCSK had not paid him a penny.

"Heri wewe. Ni kama hawana number yangu ๐Ÿ˜," Nyashinski wrote.

Stivo Simple Boy, while also commenting on Bien's post, revealed that he was paid Ksh3,000.

"3k yangu imefika leo tunachafua wapi wasani," Stivo

Obinna, while reacting to Bien's post, revealed that he was Ksh258 by MCSK.

"@bienaimesol zangu zimeingia..umesema sherehe iko wapi??๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…," Obinna wrote.

Sauti Sol's Savara asked Bien for a meetup so that they could spend the money MSCK sent them. The two musicians were later seen smoking weed together.
