Kisumu County First Lady Dorothy Nyong'o on Saturday, October 21, 2023, attended the GO Campaign Annual Gala in Los Angeles, USA.
Mother and daughter attended the star-studded charity event which aims to improve the lives of vulnerable children by investing at the local, grassroots level.
Lupita was clad in a cream-coloured dress and a matching cowrie shell headpiece.

The Go Gala charity was the first red-carpet event Lupita attended following her breakup with Selema Masekela.
The US-based Kenyan actress attended the GO Campaign’s 2023 GO Gala just two days after she went public with her pain following the split with the son of South African jazz legend Hugh Masekela.
In her breakup post, Lupita said she wanted to publicly dissociate herself from someone she could no longer trust and that her love was extinguished by deception.
“I find myself in a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception.
“I am tempted to run into the shadows and hide, only to return to the light when I have regained my strength enough for me to say, ‘Whatever, my life is better this way’. But I am reminded that the magnitude of the pain I am feeling is equal to the measure of my capacity for love. And so, I am choosing to face the pain, cultivating the courage to meet my life exactly as it is, and trusting that this too shall pass," Lupita Nyong'o wrote on Instagram on October 19, 2023.
