Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has left tongues wagging after she splashed hundreds of thousands to purchase an expensive Father's Day gift for her baby daddy and Mugithi artiste Samuel Muchoki alias Samidoh.

In a video seen by K24 Digital, Nyamu is seen arriving at a liquor store requesting the most expensive alcoholic drink in the shop.

"The most expensive one," she informed the store attendant.

Accompanied by the store attendant, the senator checks all displayed drinks and settles for a Louis XIII a brandy by Remy Martin. The liquor is valued at Ksh420,000.

She paid the amount using her credit card, sparking debate on social media.

Nyamu's grand gesture to her baby daddy followed shortly after fans speculated about her dating life after she was spotted holding hands with an unknown man at the Heart to Heart run held at the Carnivore grounds in Nairobi.

The Senator's move seemed to rub some citizens the wrong way while others praised her for inputting an effort to celebrate her baby daddy.

I hope this finally will make people correlate how their lives are affected by the people they put in leadership
