Gengetone group Mbuzi Gang was involved in a car accident on the night of Saturday, June 17, 2023.

The group comprising musicians Joefes, Fathermoh, and Ipholish had an accident on their way home from a show. The three escaped the scene with minor injuries.

Confirming the accident, the Shamrashamra hitmakers said it was a bad day for the group, after a disappointing show.

They expressed their disappointment, saying their show 'flopped' after a poor sound system.

"Tunatoka show sound system ya umbwakni (disco matanga) alafu accident," they captioned a video of the car that was involved in the accident.

This is the second accident the group has been involved in. The first incident occurred in February when the 'Wagithomo' hitmakers rammed into a tree in an undisclosed location. However, the group failed to mention what led to the accident.

At the time, they confirmed through their official Instagram accounts that they were safe.

"By God's grace we are all okay" and "Tuko sawa," they wrote at the time.

The group was first formed in 2012. They told a local radio station that their relationship began in high school.

"We've known each other since high school and iPhoolish started out as our fan and since we had already formed Mbuzi Gang but since we wanted something different we welcomed him to the family," Joefes disclosed.

The group gained spotlight after their hit song 'Shamrashamra' which was well received by their fans.
