Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz has made a plea for forgiveness to his lover, Zuchu, just a day after she announced the end of their relationship.
In a video shared by Rick Media, Diamond joined Zuchu onstage during her performance, to confess his love while dropping to his knees to ask for forgiveness.
The 'Komando' hitmaker revealed that he travelled from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar to surprise Zuchu at her show in a bid to win her back.

He revealed that the advice of his friend, Haji Manara, prompted him to set aside his ego and ask the songstress to take him back.
“My brother Haji Manara advised me to drop my ego and go to Zanzibar to ask for forgiveness and maybe I might be taken back by Zuchu," Diamond expressed.
“I have come here not just to sing, but to follow her. Zuhura, I have come to tell you I love you so much.
“I have come from Dar es Salaam just to follow her, and no one else. Even on stage, I said I would climb up here, I love you," Diamond confessed.
"Kumpata mwanamke mstaarab kama uyu ni shida," Diamond said proceeding to sing their hit song 'Mtasubiri' as he went on his knees to plead for forgiveness.
Zuchu breaks up with Diamond
Zuchu announced the end of her relationship with Diamond attributing it to disrespect.
She shared a video referencing the well-known saying "familiarity breeds contempt," particularly in light of Diamond's interactions with his baby mama Zari Hassan.
A video of Zari and Diamond holding hands as they walked together like a couple on Thursday, February 22, 2024, was seemingly the reason behind the breakup.
In a detailed statement released on Friday, February 23, 2024, Zuchu expressed her desire for this breakup to be permanent, despite their history of reconciliations.
However, she emphasized that Diamond will remain her business partner moving forward.
"Hello family, I had to post this to clear my conscience. Kuanzia leo hii mimi na nasibu (Diamond) hatuko pamoja. I know this has been our thing but as hard as it is kumuacha mtu unaempenda hii naomba mungu iwe ya mwisho na nianze maisha mapya. Mapenzi ni heshima kwa bahati mbaya sana hiko kimekosekana kwetu . .as for him bado tuna kazi za pamoja i wish him and his family the absolute best. Tumeishi vizuri lakini nadhani hii sio rizki. Mwaka huu nimejifunza kusema hapana kwa kila kitu kisichonipa furaha ama baada ya kusema haya naona kabisa naenda kuanza ukurasa mpya wenye maisha yaliyojaa furaha, uhuru na amani.
