Popular comic Stella Bunei, also known as Jemutai has warned her fans against falling prey to an impersonator running a Facebook account using her name.

In a post on her original account, the comedian said the person running the account with over 50,000 followers has been conning innocent Kenyans.

Further, Jemutai disclosed that she has warned the impersonator severally but to no avail, however, promising to take action as she has obtained all his phone numbers.

The account in question is linked to a phone number registered under M-Pesa name, Bylon Rondi.

"The guy running the fake Jemutai Churchill account is called Bylon Rondi. I have got all his numbers. I have asked him severally to stop but he continues to use the account to con innocent Kenyans and post some sensitive posts using my images. It's just a matter of time," Jemutai said.

In a separate incident, content creator Lawrence Mwangi, alias Terence Creative exposed a conman who posed as an agent of an advertising agency seeking his services.

In a series of posts made on his Insta Story, the comedian revealed messages where the conman who identified himself as Fred wanted Terence and his family to be featured in an advert for a top financial services company.

According to Terence, he later established that the advertising firm had no physical office and the email used in their communications was personal.

Further, the comedian said the same conman reportedly attempted to con fellow comedian, Zeddy.
