An activist has petitioned the High Court accusing the Directorate Criminal Investigations, Director of Public Prosecutions and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Court of failing to take any action regarding Meru Senator Mithika Linturi's alleged fake University papers and the cause of death of his business associate and house help.

In documents filed in court, activist Michael Makarena wants the Milimani Constitution and Human Rights Court to compel the DCI to carry out fresh investigations into the allegations of forgery of academic documents of Linturi as received from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad and the University of Nairobi respectively.

He says that Linturi, who is currently serving as Meru senator, is unfit to run for governor as his university academic qualifications are questionable.

"If he doesn't have a degree he can not qualify to be a governor and can only be an MCA," Makarena states.

Linturi is said to have forged the university academic papers which he presented at the Senate.

The activist is further seeking the speaker of the Senate and the Public Service Commission to order Senator Linturi to refund the money he earned by allegedly masquerading to be a university graduate

"An order does issue directing that Linturi does pay from his pocket all the amounts received in terms of salary in the event it is established that the academic credentials presented warranting his election as a Senator," says activist Makarena.
