By Njau Paul,

Four family members were found dead in their house in Karura village, Kiambaa in Kiambu County on Wednesday morning.

This happened a day after the body of their farmhand was also found in a neighbouring compound.

Eyewitnesses said the worker’s head had been severed and dumped outside his employer’s house while the torso was left at the neighbouring compound.

The locals said that the bodies of the murdered family were not discovered alongside that of the farmhand on Tuesday becuase those who cleared the scene did not bother to check inside the family’s compound.

Among those who are dead are two primary schoolgoing children and their parents.

The family has three other children who had already reported back to school.

Police are yet to establish the motive of the gruesome murders.
