A 27-year-old lady is currently nursing injuries after she was allegedly sexually assaulted by three men claiming to be police officers.
According to a police report seen by K24 Digital, Charity Wangare was in the company of her boyfriend while from Kiwanja market in Kahawa West to buy foodstuff on the evening of Jamhuri Day.
The two were headed to their rented house when they were confronted by the three men who ordered them not to run and that they were police officers.
The men then directed Wangare and her boyfriend to a dark area in an open ground and ordered them to lie down. The trio then turned to the lady where they sexually assaulted her as the helpless boyfriend watched.
"Wangare was being escorted by her boyfriend James Maina from Kiwanja Market where they had bought some foodstuff and were headed home when they were confronted by three men who ordered them not to run that they were police officers. The trio then directed the two to a dark place and ordered them to lie down. They turned to the lady and sexually assaulted her as the helpless boyfriend watched,” the police report read in part.
After the unfortunate incident, the assailants fled towards Ruiru. The victim was rushed to a nearby health centre where she was treated and discharged.
Police have since launched investigations into the incident as a hunt for the three is on.
