Without Ksh1.4 million, Mugo wa Wairimu will serve time in jail

    Nairobi Senior Resident Magistrate Martha Nanzushi ruled Wednesday that the Prosecution proved its case against Mugo wa Wairimu.

Quack doctor Mugo wa Wairimu has been sentenced to three years in jail, or alternatively, pay a Ksh1.4 million fine after he was found guilty of operating a medical clinic without a license.

Other charges that Mugo faced included: unlawfully operating an unregistered pharmacy, operating a medical laboratory without a license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Practitioners, operating a medical clinic without a registration and practising as an unregistered nurse.

Nairobi Senior Resident Magistrate Martha Nanzushi ruled Wednesday that the Prosecution proved its case against the suspect.
