Quack doctor Mugo wa Wairimu has been sentenced to three years in jail, or alternatively, pay a Ksh1.4 million fine after he was found guilty of operating a medical clinic without a license.
Other charges that Mugo faced included: unlawfully operating an unregistered pharmacy, operating a medical laboratory without a license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Practitioners, operating a medical clinic without a registration and practising as an unregistered nurse.
Nairobi Senior Resident Magistrate Martha Nanzushi ruled Wednesday that the Prosecution proved its case against the suspect.
