Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga has distanced herself from the viral photo of a woman jumping over the fence at night.

On Thursday, September 9, a photo collage of Omanga and a woman said to be her was shared online with netizens asking the Senator if she was the woman jumping over the fence.

However, Omanga came out and addressed the rumors saying Kenya would experience tremors if she was to jump over any fence.

"Disregard the propaganda about me jumping over Kasarani police station fence. It is an idle rumor worth no one's attention. Sincerely, how can I jump, over anything, let alone a high fence, without Kenya experiencing earth tremor?" Omanga posed.

Not a visitor to controversy and cyber-attacks from netizens, Senator Omanga dismissed similar claims in July when viral talk online stated that she had been arrested for flouting curfew orders.

Reports on social media indicated that the staunch Deputy President William Ruto supporter was arrested at a nightclub in Hurlingham, Nairobi and locked up at Kileleshwa Police Station.

However, Omanga dismissed the claims in a Facebook post where she noted that she was at home and enjoying her sleep, further urging his supporters to treat the claims as propaganda.

Watu wangu mimi niko sawa. Kausingizi kananibamba tu. Izo zingine ni story (My people, I’m okay and enjoying my sleep. The rumors are just propaganda),” she wrote.
