President William Ruto has announced a generous donation of Ksh50 million towards the Salvation Army Church.

Speaking during the Salvation Army Centenary Celebrations at Ulinzi Stadium in Nairobi, on Sunday, March 3, Ruto expressed his support for the organization's ongoing projects noting that he was aware of the church's needs.

"Maybe I should say that I have already read the letter in the envelope. Because I understand what they are coming to ask me I have already agreed to give 50 million shillings to support the work they are doing. All of the things they were to come and tell me, I already have the information."

The Head of State said he had arranged to meet with the leadership of the Salvation Army Church on Monday to review their pending projects.

"So I'll have a chance tomorrow before these brothers leave so that I can talk to them and we can understand how we will move forward together."
