A prison warder was on Thursday, October 22, arrested in Bondo, Siaya County over suspected SIM swap fraud.

Prison Constable Charles Opollo Ndaga was arrested at his home in Sinapanga Estate.

At least 10,000 Safaricom SIM cards registered under different people’s names were found in the suspect’s house.

Also recovered, were two Equitel SIM cards, three Kenyan identity cards, a laptop, several mobile phones, a cheque book, among other items.

Ndaga, who is being held at a Bondo police post, will be arraigned once investigations are concluded, police said.
