16 rescued in Tana River after being marooned by floods

16 people have been rescued in Konoramadha in Saka, Tana River County after being marooned by floods.

Confirming the incidents, the Kenya Red Cross (KRC) Society said that a search operation is on to locate six more people.

"This is Konoramadha in Saka, Tana River County, where we have rescued 16 people marooned by floodwaters. Efforts to reach around six more people continue," KRC stated.

Tana Rivers has been one of the many areas at the heart of the flooding calamity due to heavy rains in most parts of the country.
