Nairobi w***n in court for biting off neighbour’s ear

A woman in Pipeline, Nairobi has denied accusations that she bit off her neighbour's ear causing her grievous harm.

Dorothy Muthoni Mworia committed the offense on January 15, 2022, after an argument ensued between her and the complainant following a fight between their children. 2

“You are accused of unlawfully and willfully causing grievous harm to Mary Njeri Kimani,” the charge sheet read in part.

The court heard that Muthoni bit Mary Njeri Kimani at their place of residence in Pipeline, Embakasi Sub-County.

According to a statement by the police, the accused and the complainant’s daughters were playing outside their residential place when her daughter got injured accidentally.

The complainant heard her daughter crying outside and upon checking on her she realized that she had been hit by the other girl.

Muthoni would then dash outside, where she grabbed the complainant and jolted her to the ground then bit off part of her ear. She also sustained serious injuries on her forehead and on her left arm.

After the incident, the accused was later arrested and taken to court where she denied the charge.

She was released on a bond of Ksh10,000. The matter shall be heard on March 8, 2022.
