Mwai Kibaki's body has arrived in Othaya, Nyeri county for his final rest.
The body of the late third president left Lee's funeral home at 7:00 am and was escorted for nearly 126km on the road, a trip that took about three and a half hours.
An estimate of 15,000 mourners have already gathered in Othaya, Nyeri county for the funeral of the former Head of State.
The body was received by President Uhuru Kenyatta who was already in Othaya.
After the arrival, the casket was carried to a presidential hearse,- a military gun carriage as the band hammed the national anthem.
The clergy also joined as the military honour guard carried his flag-draped casket to the venue.
