28-year-old man who shot and wounded two police officers and a waitress at Quiver Club had complained to the officers who were seated next to him that they were looking at him in a demeaning manner and laughing at him, court has been told.

According to a police cover report seen by K24 Digital, on the material day, Police Constable Festus Musyoka and his colleague constable Lawrence Muturi and a friend Morris Mutua were at Quiver Club Lounge having drinks.

Dickson Njanja Mararo who has been charged with three counts of attempted murder had arrived at the club in the company of a light-skinned lady.

“He was in the company of a hot brown woman,” an employee of Quiver Club said in a statement.

The report says that the accused person was seating near the trio and at one point approached their table complaining that the trio was staring at him in a demeaning manner.

"At around 21:30 pm, though I can't remember the exact time, there was a guy unknown to us who approached and asked, 'why are you laughing at me?' We told him we were discussing our issues and not laughing at him" read the statement by Lawrence Muturi.

The report further says as they were exiting the club, the accused person opened fire discriminatively and injured the two officers and a waitress identified as Felistus Nzisa who was on duty at the said club.

As a result of the shooting, the officers were rushed to Neema Hospital in Kasarani where they were attended to and referred to Nairobi Hospital and Kenyatta Hospital respectively. Felistus Nzisa was transferred to Mid Hill Hospital in Westlands.
