Police officers have launched a manhunt for a gang of six who robbed a man of Ksh400, 000 and other goods valued at Ksh 3.2 million on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

Calvince Kirochi was blocked by the criminal gang along Waiyaki Way who pointed a gun at him and ordered him to follow them.

“While riding his motor vehicle (KBC 515F) along Waiyaki way at around 2230 hrs, Kirochi was blocked by a group of six men riding on two motorcycles where they pointed a gun at him and ordered him to follow them,” the police report seen by K24 Digital read in part.

The gang drove toward Thika Road and when they got to Lamada Hotel they took control of his vehicle, handcuffed him, and drove toward Karen where they dumped him on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 in the wee hours of the morning.

They robbed him of Ksh400,000, six laptops, three cameras, central processing units and monitors, studio equipment, four mobile phones, a TV set, and a speaker all valued at Ksh3.2 million.

Man reports to police

The victim was left unhurt by the gang and he went to report the incident at Karen Police Station.

At Karen, he was referred to Parklands where he reported the same.

This comes a few days after Olokalau Member of Parliament (MP) David Kiaharo was in early October robbed Ksh700,000 after he was carjacked at the junction of James Gichuru Road and Waiyaki way.

The MP was driving home when he was stopped at gunpoint by an armed robber who ordered him to lower the window of his vehicle.

He was then joined by his accomplices who drove him to Muthiga area in Kikuyu.

The gang blindfolded him and took his ATM cards then ransacked the vehicle before running away with Ksh700,000.

The legislature was then abandoned in Karen with his vehicle with the gang speeding away with a probox that was waiting them.
