A 16-year-old girl in Mombasa has alleged that a 52-year-old man held her hostage for two days and defiled her after forcing her to drink alcoholic drinks.
The minor who has since reported the ordeal at Likoni police station claims that she was lured by the suspect identified as Paul Opiyo after they had interacted briefly at her sister's workplace.
At the time of the incident, the two had met at a local restaurant for a lunch date.

"After we had finished eating he lured me, to a guest room within the same hotel where he ordered more food and alcohol inside the room which he had booked,
"He ordered alcohol but did not drink much, he then asked me to drink it claiming that it would make me feel better, since l did not want to indulge in Alcohol he become violent and forced me to drink more, therefore l lost control of myself and just fell asleep," she added.
The victim stated that she recounts falling on the bed and waking up naked alongside the suspect moments after regaining consciousness.
"I was naked and on looking around l first asked where l was and he informed me that we had been having a good time l was unable to even recall which day it was and he informed me it was on a Wednesday l was afraid that by now my parents had begun searching for me," she stated.
She further claimed that the suspect had attempted to defile her further on the third day, but she managed to resist and push him away.
"Upon resisting his sexual advances, he pushed me to the wall and l sustained injuries on the head," the minor added.
The suspect however denied the allegations stating that he only bought her the drinks and escorted her home.
"It's true l met her through her sister, at the time, she requested me to buy her some drinks which l did; she, later on, requested me to give her fare and money to make her hair, and l gave her Ksh150. I am surprised by the turn of events since we had agreed to meet on Saturday," he confessed.
Police are yet to arrest the suspect.
