Top Tanzanian songbird Zuchu has been ranked as the artiste with the most subscribers on Youtube in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The WCB Wasafi Records’ signee has amassed over 2.1 million subscribers on her channel to surpass all the other African female artistes.

Also on the list is Kenya's Diana Bahati alias Diana B who launched her music career last year.

The other artistes are Tanzania's Nandy and the rest are all Nigerian musicians in both secular and gospel industries.

They include; Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage, Sinach, Chidinma, Ada Ehi, Simi and Teni.

Zuchu - 2.12 million subscribers

The singer is popular for her hits including; ‘Sukari,’ ‘Mwambieni’ and ‘Litawachoma.’

Yemi Alade - 2 million subscribers

The Nigerian star continues to dominate the charts and was the first African female artist to reach one million subscribers.

Yemi Alade's most popular videos on YouTube are "Johnny," "Kissing" feat. Marvin, "Ghen Ghen Love," Bamboo," "Na Gode" feat. Selebobo, "Ferrari," and video of her live performance in NYC.

Sinach with 1.9 million subscribers

The gospel singer who clocked 50 in March 2022 makes it to the list with her top songs being 'Way Maker' and 'Chosen Generation'.

In 2020, Way Maker won the Dove award for Song of the Year, making Sinach the first Nigerian Christian artiste to win the award.

Osinachi Egbuaka recently joined the Grammy Recording Academy as a voting member.

Ada Ehi - 1.4 million subscribers

Ada Ehi is a Nigerian gospel artiste.

Her popular songs include; 'Congratulations', 'Only you Jesus' and 'Never go Down'.

Tiwa Savage - 1.12 million subscribers

The Queen of Afrobeats comes in fifth on the list.

This follows her recent awarding of an honorary doctorate from the University Of Kent in England. 

She was honoured with ‘Doctor of Music’ for her inspirational and international career in music.

Nandy - 1.07million subscribers

Tanzania's newlywed made it to the list making two artistes from the country.

Nandy is also currently heavily pregnant with her first baby with lover Bill Nass.

Simi - 853K subscribers

The Nigerian singer-songwriter is popular for her hit song 'Duduke' among many others.

She is also the wife of Nigerian fast-rising Adenkunle Gold.

Diana Bahati - 756K subscribers

Kenya's Diana Marua made it to the list after shifting from a lifestyle content creator to an artiste in November 2021.

Diana caused a stir with her highly criticised songs but has remained in the game since then.

She currently has three songs on her channel.

Chidinma - 667K subscribers

Chidinma Ekile alias Ms Kedike was a secular artiste until her rebranding to a gospel singer in May 2021.

Chidinma announced the new move on her 30th birthday.

Singer Teni with 592K subscribers

The 29-year-old Nigerian artiste closes the list with nearly 600,000 subscribers on her Youtube channel.

Her top songs include  "Askamaya", "Case" and "Uyo Meyo".
