Man and wife s**b, kill neighbour who had gone to separate them during fight

A middle-aged man from Kitale in Trans-Nzoia County died after he was stabbed by a fighting couple that he had gone to separate.

Kennedy Nyukuri was stabbed in the chest and back by the couple on Wednesday night (May 28), when he went to their home to break up a fight.

It remains unclear what the man-and-wife were fighting over.

“Yesterday night, I heard screams emanating from our neighbour’s house. It appears that the couple was fighting. Nyukuri, I understand, had gone to break up the fight. When I woke up today morning and stepped out, I found his (Nyukuri’s) body lying in a ditch. He was bleeding from the chest and back,” said a neighbour.

Tuwani Ward MCA, Bernard Wabwa, urged police to arrest the couple and charge them with causing Nyukuri’s death.

The deceased was taken to Kitale Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary. Investigations into the matter have commenced.
