A 19-year-old woman is being held at Kiamashiri Police Station in Kirinyaga county after she allegedly killed her 25-year-old lover, Evans Kariuki.
The incident happened at Nguka in Mwea Sub-county.
According to John Kimani, the father of the deceased who also revealed their ages, his son was stabbed to death after he forcefully got into his girlfriend’s house.

He said his son got into the house through the window after the girl offered a blanket for him to sleep outside over an argument.
“He went and called his girlfriend to open the door for him. The girl refused to open it but gave him a blanket through the window and told him to sleep outside.
"Kariuki got in through the window. They both argued before his girlfriend picked a knife and stabbed him,” Kimani explained.
Area residents led by Francis Kimagwa blamed the incident on rampant drug abuse among the youths in the region.
